Farm Tour and Amenities

The Timberneck Farm property is a multigenerational farm bisected by the Timberneck Creek that spills to the James River. The farm house serves as home to the proprieters of the Barn venue and has been beautifully renovated in an eclectic style marrying historic relics with modern decor' and enjoyment amenities. "The Barns", two constructed in the early 1800's and one in the 1940's, have hosted numerous celebrations of family and friends and were recently renovated and opened to the public for event rentals in the Spring and Fall for guests up to 200.

The 275 acre farm has a restored mid 1800’s main house, three large historic barns with vintage displays of various relics, tools and signs of historic times. More modern property amenities include an enclosed 20x40 pool, ½ basketball court, volleyball court, spacious apartment garage, horse shoes, corn hole, etc for the enjoyment of the family and its patrons. The property is named for the Timberneck Creek which bisects the property out of site from the house and barns giving the farm its heritage and nearby street location name. The larger event barn, built in the 1940's can serve up to 200 seated guests with handicap accessible bathrooms, a catering kitchen, and sliding barn doors that open to spacious green grasses for expanded enjoyment and an indoor/outdoor venue. The décor is rustic chic with walls displaying various vintage tools and artifacts from rural farming eras of the past. The remaining 2 barns, built in the early to mid 1800's, are of a similar and unique style with especially beautiful structures. One (named "the Polly") has been completely renovated to provide additional bridal party changing space to support event rentals. The second (named "the Marshall") is planned for a future phase renovation to serve as a tasting room for a signature "Timberneck Bourbon" to be distilled on the property.
